Leimert Park Jazz Festival

What started as a neighborhood block party to bring neighbors together in 2015 has evolved organically into the Leimert Park Jazz Festival, now in its 4th year. The Leimert Park Jazz Festival honors this vibrant community’s legacy of African American culture, jazz, and art, and aims to ensure it remains the heartbeat of black creative arts and culture in Los Angeles. It also aims to revitalize and cultivate jazz culture in Los Angeles. In addition, the Leimert Park Jazz Festival serves as an economic driver in the community by providing short term jobs, paying established and emerging jazz musicians a competitive fee, and supporting local black owned businesses.
