Project Leaders: Help Support LA's BEST After School Educators for Pro-Day!
Support LA's BEST Professional Development Day as a Project Leader! An annual event dedicated to empowering staff with the tools and knowledge to continually make an impact on children in Los Angeles!
Why: Pro-Day is LA’s BEST’s annual flagship professional development event, bringing together over 900 afterschool staff from across the city for a full day of learning, networking, and inspiration. The event offers a wide range of interactive workshops led by skilled facilitators and field experts, focusing on practical strategies, fresh ideas, and proven approaches to enrich afterschool programming. During lunch, the Resource Fair connects staff with community partners and organizations, providing tools, materials, and opportunities they can take back to their sites. Your involvement helps shape the future of expanded learning, ensuring that afterschool programs continue to make a positive impact in the community.
Who: LA's BEST Afterschool Enrichment Program plays a vital role in the lives of more than 25,000 unique and talented elementary school students who come from neighborhoods with the fewest resources and the greatest needs. Every school day, BEST students receive a nutritious meal, help with their homework, and the opportunity to participate in a wide array of enrichment activities.
