Restore Vital San Pedro Plant Habitat
Help the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy plant and maintain White Point Nature Preserve. This event is hosted in partnership with California Climate Action Corps, a program of California Volunteers, Office of the Governor.
Why: You will help care for the White Point Native Plant Demonstration Garden. Your efforts will help restore this habitat for wildlife as well as create a beautiful place for the community to enjoy!
Who: The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is to preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all.
What to Expect:
- Planting native species
- Weeding invasive plants
- Watering established native plants
- Laying down mulch
What's Required:
- Minor volunteers are welcome but those under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. All minors must bring a signed L.A. Works' Volunteer Project Minor Waiver and our partner's Release & Authorization form. To sign up as a family, please use the "Sign Up With A Team" button below. - Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes.
- Bring drinking water.
- Sun protection, long sleeves, and long pants are recommended.
