Urban Farm Workday at S.O.W Collective's Reseda Garden - DCR
Come join S.O.W Collective in garden maintenance and produce harvest at their Reseda backyard farm.
This is an eligible Daisy Chain Reaction volunteer opportunity. Volunteers who are 18 years of age or older and who opt in during registration for the promotion running between July 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM PST and August 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST may participate in a giveaway for a chance to win two (2) GA tickets to Daisy Chain Fields 2026. Participation in the giveaway is completely optional, and you are welcome to volunteer whether or not you choose to enter. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements and terms.
Why: Urban gardens are vital to healthier communities because they expand equitable access to fresh food and bring people together. These spaces are important education hubs and to community-building, in addition, cultivating green spaces helps comabt climate change by promoting local food chains.
Who: Our partner, Shift Our Ways (S.O.W) Collect grows sustainable communities to empower and support eco-conscious lifestyles where it is needed most. They achieve this through their programs offering free organic produce, equitable access to low-waste options, shared education through workshops, and safe green spaces for communities to come together and connect
What to Expect: We'll be getting our hands dirty outdoors caring for the garden. Tasks will include:- Watering
- Harvesting
- Please bring water.
- Wear long pants, sun protection, and a comfy pair of shoes.
- The minimum age to volunteer is 16 years old.
- And a willingness to work outside!
