REMOTE - Create Hygiene Kits for our Neighbors in Need!
We are looking for assistance in creating hygiene kits to distribute to our unhoused neighbors.
Why: Project Ropa's team members work diligently to help clients find clothing they'll be proud to wear – clean, stylish, and hand-picked. This level of personalized care may require time and attention, but it is where the real impact happens. It's care that restores hope, and the guests deeply appreciate it.
Who: Project Ropa operates a free Mobile Clothing Closet for those in need that brings a curated selection of new and gently used high-quality adult size clothing, shoes, and accessories, along with personal hygiene products directly to people in need in Hollywood.
What to Expect:
- Kits can be made remotely by gathering items and putting them together in a paper bag, ziploc bag, tote bag, or reusable grocery bag.
- All kits can be mailed to Project Ropa or dropped off at our warehouse in Gardena, CA. If mailing please include a note with your full name and email address in the package.
- Travel sized items (preferred)to include in the kits are:
- Essentials
- Shampoo
- Toothpaste and toothbrush
- Soap
- Body lotion
- Shaving cream
- Razor
- Nice to Have (optional items):
- Deodorant
- Q-Tips
- Band-Aids
- Hand sanitizer
- Disinfecting wipes
- Travel-size facial tissue pack
- Toilet paper
- Lip balm
- Sunscreen
- Dental floss
- Hair bands
- Conditioner
What's Required:
- Hygiene kit items are not provided by Project Ropa who recommends reaching out to your network of friends and family to source the items.
- We are unable to provide verification of remote volunteer work for community service hours, only for in-person volunteering.
