"Taste of Depaul" Fundraiser & Open House Volunteers
Volunteer for our Kermes Open House & Fundraiser as we welcome the community, donors, and new sponsors to our open doors as we show some of the work we have accomplished here at Depaul USA - Casa Milagrosa.
Why: In 2023, Casa Milagrosas services increased greatly with the increase of unhoused and unserved people living in the Westlake District and Greater Los Angeles areas. With your help, Casa Milagrosa will ease the lives of those in need. Casa Milagrosa provided 26,751 breakfasts to our unhoused community. With your support, you can make the success of feeding more of our unhoused guests possible.
Who: Depaul USA is a national homeless service nonprofit and affiliate of the international homelessness services organization, Depaul International Group. Celebrating over 12 years of working with homeless individuals across the United States. We aim to end homelessness and change the lives of those affected by it.
For the event, we will need volunteers to fill many different roles.
- Servers: We will need volunteers to help with any serving of drinks or food for the start of our event.
- Cleaning Attendants: Accidents happen, so we will have volunteers ready for any spills or messes that may occur during the event.
- Clean-Up: As the event finishes, we will need all volunteers' help in a quick takedown and clean up of the facility. The setup for the evening will be simple and clean-up should not take too long.
- Please wear business casual, comfortable attire with closed-toe shoes.
- Volunteers need to be able to lift boxes above 20 lbs., this will require bending and lifting.
- The event is located near Macarthur Park and for anyone driving, there is metered parking and limited onsite parking.
