Provide Disaster Resources to LA's most vulnerable populations through phone calls and emails!
ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
L.A. Works is on a mission to connect with over half a million Angelinos on Disaster Preparedness resources and educational information. Spreading awareness and building intimate relationships with community members through Phone Conversation outreach will help us reach that goal.
IMPACT
Every Californian, regardless of age, ability, income, or language, deserves culturally competent education to prepare for earthquakes, floods, and the immediate threat of wildfires. We can help provide those resources to the community through Phone Conversation Outreach.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Join L.A. Works Phone Tree opportunities!
- Learn about Disaster Preparedness and how it affects different communities.
- Complete cold calls and emails to individuals in need.
- Communicate the importance of disaster preparedness and response.
- Draw attention to resources and materials provided by Listos California regarding disaster preparedness
- Comfortable talking about L.A. Works and Disaster Preparedness.
- Access to Zoom!
- Sensitivity towards the cultural and socio-economic barriers associated with preparing for disaster.
