Food Distribution!- help the SFV homeless population
Become a Volunteer at the NoHo Home Alliance Drop-In Access Center to help create a safe space for the unhoused population to exist in community and have their needs met.
WHO:
NoHo Home Alliance is a nonprofit membership organization of residents and stakeholders in the East San Fernando Valley. NoHo Home Alliance is committed to addressing local issues and improving the health of our community.
WHY:
NHHA’s Drop-In Access Center provides a safe space for unhoused neighbors to access dignified services (food, showers, clothing, mail, medical and mental health services, etc.). Volunteers operate our service stations, and directly connect with unhoused guests in an environment that promotes safety and security for all. Your volunteer work contributes to a healthier community for the unhoused!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
The role of this Volunteer opportunity is to assist with operating the Access Center for Unhoused Neighbors
Responsibilities Include:
- Serving Food
- Cooking Food
- Operating Clothing Closet
- Serving Hygiene Items
- Checking-In Guests
- Operating Mail Station
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Age:18+
- Complete Training with NoHo Home Alliance Age Preference: Retired Senior Volunteers ages 55+ and older!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
A NoHo Alliance representative will provide you with more information regarding training upon expressing interest in this Volunteer opportunity.
