Fall Arts Festival for Children and Families: Set up and support the Fall Arts Festival at Allies for Every Child
Mission:
Allies for Every Child focuses on children and families affected by trauma. They have a comprehensive program including mental health services, abuse prevention and intervention services, early childhood education, and foster and adoption services to help address issue from trauma in order to heal and strengthen families to give them the bright future they deserve.
This festival will help with the goal of strengthening families.
Benefits:
- This volunteer opportunity allows families to give back to other families in a meaningful way. Allies for Children cannot host this festival designed for family bonding without the help of volunteers! Seeing children laughing and enjoying a day of art is an invaluable experience. Volunteers will also learn about the important work that Allies for Every Child is doing every day to help our community!
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Volunteers will choose from one of three shifts to volunteer to set-up and work at the arts festival designed to give families involved in the early childhood education program a family day of fun and learning!
Shift 1: 8:00 AM -10:30 AM
- Volunteers will help to set up the festival including the craft and game stations.
Shift 2: 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM
- Volunteers will help set up and then be assigned to one of the following activities and games–
- Activities
- Pumpkin Coloring
- Leaf "Marble" Painting
- Sand and Water Table
- Modeling Clay/Play Doh Station
- Music and Movement
- Games
- Ball/Ring Toss
- Bubble Machine
- Cornhole
- Hula Hoops
- Potato Sack Race
Shift 3: 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM
- Volunteers will be assigned to one of the activities or games to help run these stations and then help to break down and clean up the festival.
Requirements:
- This is a FAVE Family volunteer opportunity.
- Time Commitment: Saturday, September 23rd, 2023
Attire
- Wear comfortable clothing suitable for doing arts and crafts

Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes as you will be on your feet for the entirety of the shift
Physical Requirements
- Standing
- Light lifting and moving items
- Smiling at children; having fun
- Training provided
- Directions will be given on site; please check in with FAVE program coordinator Shayn Ferriolo when you arrive
Age requirement
- Open to all ages, but please be mindful that Shifts 2 and 3 will require running activities and games.
- If your child(ren) are younger and unable to assist with the activities, Shift 1 may be more suitable.
- Our youngest volunteers should be aware that we will be working at the festival and not participating in the games and activities!
