September 2023 FAVE At-home Kit: Create fun activity bags for children at  Allies for Every Child

Mission:
Allies for Every Child focuses on children and families affected by trauma. They have a comprehensive program including mental health services, abuse prevention and intervention services, early childhood education, and foster and adoption services to help address issues from trauma in order to heal and strengthen families to give them the bright future they deserve. 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Use the project directions and supplies included in the FAVE Kit to create 3 activity bags for preschool children served by Allies for Every Child. 

• The activity bags will feature items to allow children to express themselves through art and sensory activities to help stimulate their young minds and spark creativity! 

• Kits should be returned to FAVE so that FAVE can distribute them to Allies for Children. (Please see instructions for returning completed kits on project instructions). Please return kits by October 1st! 

• The kit is designed for FAVE Fam donors. If you are not a FAVE Fam donor, you may purchase a kit. When you sign up, you will be prompted to purchase if you are not a FAVE Fam donor.  Kits will be mailed to the address you provide. 

• Check out our educational materials and learn about Allies for Every Child and why their work is so important and how it is changing lives! 

Requirements: 

• Time Commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours at home scheduled on your own time schedule.

• Age requirement: This is a FAVE Family volunteer opportunity and is open to all ages, but please help small children with instructions.

Benefits: 
This volunteer opportunity allows families to give back to other families in a meaningful way. Allies for Children is able to send these home with children so they have meaningful activities to do with their families. This helps support the ongoing mission of Allies for Every Child to strengthen family units and create meaningful time together. 

Impact: 
These activity bags will help with the goal of strengthening families and create hours of fun and imagination for the children!
