Build a Butterfly Garden on Earth Day with BlueSky LA
QUICK OVERVIEW
Come celebrate Earth Day with BlueSky LA and volunteer to build a butterfly garden at Montara Avenue Elementary in South Gate.
MISSION
BlueSky LA is an ongoing initiative dedicated to funding local projects to drastically improve the air quality of Los Angeles by the 2028 Olympics. Through projects big and small, from tree planting, urban gardens, compost hubs, cool roofs, green roofs, solar, and many other strategies – Blue Sky LA is building community engagement to support and implement these projects in the communities that suffer the worst air quality, which affects us all.
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Volunteers will be getting their hands dirty by gardening, landscaping, and cleaning up.
REQUIREMENTS
Minors under 14 must be accompanied onsite by an Adult at all times. All Minors are required to submit liability forms. Please wear closed-toed shoes.
