Project Leaders Help Pack Kits for Veterans in Need in Playa Vista
Come and lead volunteers as they pack New Parent Kits and Hygiene kits for veterans in need.
IMPACT Together, we will create kits that have essential items for veterans who are recent parents, as well as create hygiene kits for veterans who may not have access to these items.
VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Volunteers may be asked to stand to work, help lift, and help set up project spaces. Work gloves can be provided for loading and offloading supplies. (bring your gloves if you'd prefer to use your own).
ACCESSIBILITY: We are working to ensure that accommodations can be made for different accessibility needs for as many projects as possible. If you would like to bring a foldable chair for assistance, please feel free. WHERE: Playa Vista, CA 90066 *Full address will be shared with project leaders after sign-up for privacy purposes.
WHEN THURSDAY, November 16, 2023 (7:00 AM - 2:00 PM)
REQUIREMENTS CHECK-IN: Arrive at 7:00 AM for registration and training.
ATTIRE: Wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes that you can move in and don’t mind getting dirty. We also suggest layering clothing, a hat, and sunscreen for sun protection.
COVID PRECAUTIONS The event will be both indoors and outdoors. While not required, we encourage wearing a mask to support our immunocompromised friends and family.
