Volunteer for 40th Annual Kingdom Day Parade Los Angeles!

Presented by the Congress on Racial Equality (CORE-CA), the Kingdom Day Parade is an incredibly important and rewarding opportunity to celebrate unity, diversity, and Dr. King’s legacy. As a volunteer you become an essential part of fostering unity, understanding, and respect among the participants and community spectators.

Why:
The Kingdom Day Parade is the largest celebration of its kind in the country with over 250,000 spectators lining the route and over 2.5 million television viewers enjoying its live broadcast on KABC-7. The parade is successful because of our community volunteers.

Who: The Congress of Racial Equality in partnership with the City of Los Angeles aim to create an inclusive and inspiring platform where people from all walks of life can come together to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders. Through this annual event, we strive to promote love, equality, and justice, while encouraging dialogue and understanding among individuals of various backgrounds and beliefs.  

• Hospitality set up crew (5:45am start time) 
• Parade logistics set up crew (5:45am start time)
• Do you have expierence with developing videos? We are looking for expierenced individual(s) to assist us with developing promotional videos and volunteer instructional videos. If yes, and you would love to volunteer your time please sign up and we will reach out to you via email. 

• Be comfortable being on your feet for duration of time (Set-up and Check-in/Registration area).
• Must wear KDP Volunteer t-shirt, comfortable attire, walking shoes, and dress warm due to chilly weather in early morning.
• Volunteers need to be able to park on neighborhood streets along the parade route and walk to assigned volunteer area.
• Be at least 18+ years of age.
• Be on time/be early (Volunteer hours 5:45am – 9:00am).
• You will receive an email from the Kingdom Day Parade Volunteer Team with the next steps and future updates.
