Volunteer Leaders: Help Prepare for MLK Day
Put your muscles to good use by helping the L.A. Works team prepare for our MLK Day Volunteer Festival!
WHY MLK Day is one of L.A. Works’ largest days of service, but we can’t make it a success by ourselves. By becoming a volunteer leader for our event prep days, you’ll help ensure that more than 1500 Angelenos can successfully come together in service on the day!
WHO L.A. Works strives to unite Angelenos and inspire action for a more equitable Los Angeles.
WHAT TO EXPECT In general, volunteer leaders may be asked to do the following:
- Project supply organizing and/or packing.
- Printing various materials.
- Wood cutting.
- Loading/unloading supplies into vans.
- Re-organizing the warehouse/office.
WHAT’S REQUIRED:
- Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
- You may be asked to stand and/or walk around for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift at least 15 lbs. and a bit of stamina!
- An energized and positive attitude!
