Volunteer at SōL Day Community Wellness Day
Sōl Day is an annual community wellness event. This annual event is a vibrant gathering where individuals come together to celebrate life, wellness, and community in a holistic and inclusive environment. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to be an integral part of creating a memorable experience for our attendees.
In partnership with California Climate Action Corps, a program of California Volunteers (Office of the Governor), L.A. Works is on a mission to amplify the environmental justice initiatives of its partners in supporting the communities most impacted by climate change.

You'll have the chance to meet like-minded individuals, learn new skills, and make lasting memories while making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Who: Hands in the soil's mission is to cultivate the culture of wellness by connecting humans to the power of nature, nutrition and each other.
What to Expect:
- No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
- We welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to join us in creating a day of joy, wellness, and celebration for all.
- Whether you're assisting with event setup and logistics, helping to coordinate activities and workshops, or providing support at our food and beverage stations, your contribution will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of Sōl Day.
- We provide an enriching volunteer experience for groups and individuals that offers people the opportunity to see the work HITS is doing and how we are changing the culture of wellness. With your support, you will help us make a long lasting impact on participants health and well-being and environmental perceptions.
What's Required:
- Interested in Gardening, Wellness, human connection.
- Able to work outdoors in the sun.
- Able to work in a semi-loud environment.
- Wear closed-toe and heel shoes only. No sandals or high heels
- Wear sun protection (Sunblock, hat, etc.)
- Bring a Reusable water bottle.
Totally NOT necessary, but, here are some special skills of high interest for volunteering at Sōl Day Celebration:
- Customer service skills
- Event coordination experience
- Creative talents
- Language proficiency
- First aid/CPR certification
- Technical expertise
- Culinary skills
- Community outreach experience
- Environmental awareness
- Team leadership skills
