FAVE Month 5: May 2024 Baby onesies
Design and create custom baby onesies to be gifted to moms at Community’s Child. Using fabric markers, stencils, and other craft items, volunteers will create cute onesies to be gifted to new mothers in transitional housing.
Why: Giving women the resources and services to better their lives means that their babies will grow up with the stability of a home and break the cycle of homelessness. While onesies and cards seem like a small gesture, it is an important part of providing compassion, encouragement, and connection to help these women understand their value.
Who: Community's Child is committed to providing homeless women with infants healthy alternatives to abuse, poverty, addictions, and hopelessness through safe, compassionate, and structured living environment. At Community's Child, women acquire the education, skills training, employment opportunities and support services necessary to break the patterns associated with homelessness.
