Fight for Air Climb Volunteer (multiple shifts available!)

The American Lung Assosciation is excited to be back at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home of the 2028 Olympic Games, for the Fight for Air Climb SoCal project.

Why: When you volunteer to support those doing the Fight For Air Climb - Southern California, you’re supporting people with lung disease who are fighting for every breath.

Who: The American Lung Association's mission is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. We do this through education, advocacy, and research. Our goals are big—defeat lung cancer, create a tobacco-free future, champion clean air for all, and improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease because when you can't breathe, nothing else matters.  

What to Expect: We are looking for volunteers to assist on the following days:

WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING VOLUNTEERS FOR SATURDAY THE 22ND OR SUNDAY THE 23RD

• CLOSED Saturday, February 22, 2025 - Pre Climb Day Volunteer
  • Shift: 11am - 2pm (approx - might only be a couple hours!) 
  • Unload van at our office at 5757 Wilshire Blvd
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. 
• CLOSED - Sunday, February 23, 2025 - Climb Event Day Volunteer 
  • First Shift: 5:30am - 12:00 pm
    • Set-up Crew
    • Event Tasks (participant check-in, medal and t-shirt distribution, route cheerleaders, hype crew, refreshments, maintaining water stations, etc.)
  • Second Shift: 7:00 am- 2:00pm/Breakdown
    • Event Tasks (medal and t-shirt distribution, route cheerleaders, hype crew, refreshments, maintaining water stations, etc.)
    • Breakdown Crew
• Monday, February 24, 2025 - Post Climb Day Volunteer
  • Shift: 11am - 2pm (approx - might only be a couple hours!) 
  • Unload van at our office at 5757 Wilshire Blvd
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs. 

What's Required: Must be able to stand for your shift / long periods of time
