Fave October 2024: Volunteer to Support Childrens' Festival
Why: Children and families that are affected by trauma need extra support. Allies for Every Child focuses on helping these families overcome the stigma of trauma. Their fall festival and a chance for families to have a fun. Memorable day of bonding. Supporting this event helps make families and our community stronger.
Who: Our nonprofit partner, Allies for Every Child, has comprehensive programs including mental health services, abuse prevention and intervention services, early childhood education, and foster and adoption services to help address trauma in order to heal and strengthen families to give them the bright future they deserve.
What to Expect:

Volunteers will choose from one of three shifts to volunteer to set-up and work at the arts festival designed to give families involved in the early childhood education program a family day of fun and learning!

Shift 1: 8-10:30 a.m.

Volunteers will help to set up the festival including the craft and game stations.

Shift 2: 10:30 a.m. - 1 pm
-
Volunteers will help set up and then be assigned to assist running one of the game, food, or craft booths

Shift 3: 1 pm - 3:30 pm
-
Volunteers will be assigned to one of the activities or games to help run these stations and then help to break down and clean up the festival.

Attire

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for doing arts and crafts

Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes as you will be on your feet for the entirety of the shift
