FAVE Family Volunteering: Create Thanksgiving Grocery Bundles
Create a custom re-usable grocery bag to be filled with Thanksgiving staples to ensure a bountiful holiday meal for seniors and mothers served by Community Child.
Why: Your volunteer efforts will ensure that women with infants and seniors have Thanksgiving staples to create a meal and they will receive a thoughtful and useful re-usable grocery bag and Thanksgiving card of support. By expressing care along with food, those served through Community Child will feel the spirit and generosity of Thanksgiving.
Who: Community Child is committed to providing homeless women with infants healthy alternatives to abuse, poverty, addictions, and hopelessness. The program offers homeless women and their infants a safe, compassionate, yet structured living environment. At Community Child, women acquire the education, skills training, employment opportunities and support services necessary to break the patterns associated with homelessness.
What to Expect:

Use fabric markers and stencils to create a decorated canvas grocery bag

Make a card of encouragement

Help fill the bags with donated food

OPTIONAL: bring specific, requested items to help fill even more bags

Family volunteers only

Please register for the FAVE Family Volunteer Program before registering if you are not already registered as FAVE

All ages welcome–volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian

Dress comfortably

This event will take place outside so dress accordingly
