Emerson Avenue Community Garden Community Volunteer Day
We hope you will share in the stewardship of the garden. Join us for Community Volunteer Days from 9 am-noon the first Saturdays of the month
Why: Community gardens are a vital cog in the machinery of healthy, vibrant neighborhoods. They provide a tangible and hopeful sign of renewal and of the potential for growth given the right mix of intention, energy, and nurturing.
Who: In 2011, a group of dedicated volunteers took a derelict piece of land in Westchester. The Emerson Avenue Community Garden began a labor of love that gradually transformed into a thriving, bountiful green space that brings a special sense of enjoyment to our entire community.
What's Expected:
Please help us maintain and beautify our garden. Activities include mulching, weeding, clearing pathways, organizing, watering lots of other fun things! Everyone welcome! We love to host students earning community service hours. This is a family-friendly event.

- Tools and gloves are provided. Wear comfortable clothes that you may get dirty. Sunblock and a hat are recommended.
