Assemble Food Packages for Families!
Become a volunteer with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and make a positive impact in your community. By giving just a little of your time, you can make a big difference in our community!
Why: Thanks to your efforts, thousands of families and individuals across Los Angeles County will have access to food resources.
Who: L.A. Regional Food Bank provides food support to numerous community agencies serving Los Angeles, ranging from large homeless shelters that feed hundreds of people a day to small daycare programs. It is the second largest foodbank operating in the United States.
What to Expect: Volunteers will assemble food packages for over 29,000 families, older adults, and children who face food insecurity in Los Angeles County. The food packages consist of food items like canned fruit, canned vegetables, rice, cereal and other non-perishable food items.
What's Required:
- Volunteers must be able to lift, push, and pull between 10-25 lbs.
- The minimum age requirement to volunteer is 18.
- No walk-ins are allowed - all volunteers must register online ahead of time.
- No court-ordered hours
- All volunteers must wear closed toe/closed heel shoes.
- Casual and comfortable attire is recommended.
- Ex: t-shirt and jeans
- For safety reasons, please no shorts or tank tops
- We no longer require volunteers to wear a mask; however, it is strongly recommended.
- Gloves will be provided on-site.
- Plenty of free parking available on-site.
