2025 Big Sunday Fun Ice Cream Give away To Homeless U.S. Vets in Downtown LA
Volunteer with the Pasadena-Altadena Community Youth Assosciation to be part of a joyful team who's mission is to serve the Skid row community.
Why: Volunteers will donate time and provide some ice cream to feed homeless vets and others homeless peoples. With thousands of homeless vets living on the streets in Downtown Los Angeles, the need is high to reach and feed them so they can get access to mental health and housing services.
Who: Pasadena-Altadena Community Youth Association's mission is to provide at-risk youth with free sport camps, books, field trips and a pathway to community service. Join them in the next couple of Sundays, as they provide U.S. homeless Veterans with a free cooked meal, winter coats, tents, blankets, shoes, hygiene kits and socks.

What to Expect:
Joyful volunteers will help for a minimum of 1 hours to serve our beloved homeless people with a smile.

- Clean up and take down of tables
- Setting up and taking down event banners
- Cleaning and sweeping at Gladys Park
- Serving ice cream
- Be part of a group photo and be invited to our end of the year awards dinner.
Requirements:
- First time adult volunteers must bring a photo CA ID or school id or Passport and $30 for background check
- Donation of ice cream to share 15 people.
- A 10 minute Zoom training/orienation prior to event is required for all volunteers.
- Lots of smiles and patience
