Shine LA - Beautify Hollywood
Join us for a day of hands-on community action to help beautify Hollywood!
Why: Join the Office of Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez, community partners, and volunteers from across the city for Service Day LA: Together, LA Shines — a citywide day of service dedicated to cleaning and greening our neighborhoods in honor of Earth Day! Volunteer alongside Mayor Bass and your neighbors to help make Los Angeles shine, preparing our city for the world stage. Take pride in your neighborhood and be part of the movement to make LA its best!
Who: Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martinez, the Hollywood Partnership, Athens Services, Hollywood Media BID, CBRE, Netflix, Reyes Coca-Cola, and Starbucks are the hosts for this Shine LA community service day event.
What to Expect: This cleanup event will focus on enhancing the neighborhood through litter removal, vegetation clearance, curb painting, and other activities aimed at revitalizing the area. Let’s work together to make Hollywood shine!
What’s Required:- Time/shift commitment: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
- Physical demands: Ability to be in the sun for several hours.
- Dress code: We recommend that volunteers wear long-sleeved shirts, long, loose pants, and sturdy, close-toed walking shoes. Hats and sunglasses recommended.
- Safety protocols: Make sure to bring a filled water bottle and sun protection (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc)
- Volunteers are requested to bring 2 gallons of water for plants each
- Your most I Love LA attitude
