Urgent! Volunteers Needed for Pet Wellness Day: SGV Mission Play House
Volunteer with the Better Neighbor Project at a Pet Wellness Day!
Why: Our volunteers are what make these events possible. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide efficient support for our events. Our volunteers are the core of what our community events bring; we gather individuals who want to have an impact on pets and their owner's lives.
Who:Better Neighbor Project's mission of saving pets, and enriching lives is made possible by the generous contributions of Dr. Gary Michelson and Alya Michelson
What to Expect:
- Setting up their stations before the event starts (a check-list and instructions will be provided for each booth, as well as on-site training)
- Directing clients
- Managing Michelson Found Animals booths (ex., pet supplies, microchip registry, ID tag engraving, etc.)
- Providing information about the event and other vendors
- Helping clients register their pets ( On-site training will be provided)
- Event information and training will be provided before the event and on-site
What's Required:
- You must be at least 13 years old. Children between 13 and 15 must volunteer with a parent or guardian, but those 16 and older may volunteer independently.
- Possess a basic range of motion and energy to complete simple tasks such as sweeping, wiping down, lifting, and/or moving up to 25 lbs, etc.
- Able to perform the assigned tasks, independently run assigned event booths, and willing to adapt to last-minute changes.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude when interacting with clients and their pets.
