Breakfast Service, Activities & Cleaning
Volunteer with Depaul USA to help distribute breakfast to our unhoused community, participate in daily activities, and help maintain our day resource center clean.
Why: The need for Casa Milagrosa services increased significantly with the increase in unhoused and unserved people living in the Westlake District and Greater Los Angeles areas. With your help, Casa Milagrosa will make life easier for those in need. In 2024, we served over 28,000 meals. With your support, you can make it possible to feed more of our unhoused guests.
Who: Depaul USA - Casa Milagrosa aims to end homelessness and change the lives of those affected by it.
What to Expect:
- Food Server: These volunteers serve food to each new client who enters our dining hall. We practice Radical Hospitality and treat each guest as if they were in a restaurant.
- Dining Hall cleaner: Volunteers clean the place setting after a client eats. The volunteers sanitize and prepare the setting for a new client to sit down and have breakfast.
- Guest Greeter/Registration: If you’re bilingual and can assist clients at distribution sites, we need your help as a guest greeter and registration volunteer. These volunteers are the first point of contact for guests at Casa Milagrosa's distribution site. They must have a cheerful and welcoming demeanor and be willing to welcome new clients.

What's Required:
- Attire: Casual and comfortable, with closed-toe shoes.
- Volunteers need to be able to lift boxes above 20 lbs, which will require bending and lifting.
- Volunteer opportunities for court-mandated service hours are not allowed
