ReBuild LA Wildfire Relief Distribution PM Shift
Volunteer with Habitat LA to provide essential resources to those who were affected by the wildfires.
Why: In response to the devastating fires, San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity and Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles are working together to support those affected by organizing a distribution drive to provide essential resources to vetted wildfire survivors.
Who: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley seek to put God's love into action. We bring people together to build homes, communities, and hope, envisioning a world where every person has a decent place to live.
What to Expect:
- Greet wildfire victims and escort them to different stations in the ReStore
- Organize and carry out donated items for wildfire victims
- Support the ReStore floor by pricing merchandise and sorting donations
- Volunteers will get a 30 minute break
- Other tasks as needed
What's Required:
- Be able to bend down and life up to 25 lbs
- Volunteers must be 14+ (minors must provide a signed liability waiver and be accompanied by a parent or chaperone)
- Closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Ensure that your clothing is suitable for walking, bending, and lifting
