Foothills Pride 2025 Seeks Volunteers to help present its 4th Annual Festival
Join us in presenting a festival of music, dance, poetry and comedy in the Foothills of Los Angeles!
Why: By participating in this event you will help us bring to life our performing arts and resource festival celebrating and supporting the LGBTQ+ community of Los Angeles' foothills, spreading a message of love and inclusivity with other passionate volunteers and joyful audience members.
Who: L.A. Works is teaming up with Sunland-Tujunga Forward to host this volunteer opportunity. Sunland-Tujunga Forward is a community organization that focuses on creating spaces for collaborative action centering equity, inclusion, and transformative relationships.
What to Expect: This event is a hands-on set up and tear down of a festival at the beginning and end of the day; volunteers during the festival’s hours will help with a range of duties including conducting children’s activities, manning parking areas and leading performers to the green room. Lunch will be provided to volunteers.
What's Required:
- Time/shift commitment: 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM or 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
- Physical demands: Ability to be in the sun for several hours.
- Dress code: We recommend that volunteers wear festive but functional clothing, including sunglasses, and closed-toe walking shoes.
- Safety protocols: Make sure to bring a filled water bottle and sun protection (sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc)
- A positive and accepting attitude and readiness to work outdoors! While this is a family-oriented event, we will have drag queens appearing and performing.
