Give Your Heart with the Heart of LA: Helping Youth Get Jobs!
As part of L.A. Works EMPOWER! series, we are proud to partner with Heart of Los Angeles in bringing this amazing mentoring opporutnity. You will be mentoring youth in HOLA's Youth Conference in Resume Building.
Why: The job market is more competitive now more than ever with studies showing entry level work experience more difficult to reach. Give these youth the courage, confidence, and skills to be competitive in today's job market.
Who: Our non-profit partner, Heart of Los Angeles is facilitating their youth conference called "Level Up" and we will be facilitating for the first 2 sessions as a part of their conference experience.
What to Expect:

Who: Our non-profit partner, Heart of Los Angeles is facilitating their youth conference called "Level Up" and we will be facilitating for the first 2 sessions as a part of their conference experience.
What to Expect:
- There will be 2 sessions with different groups of youth we will be mentoring. Each session will begin with a presentation about Resume Building. We will then proceed to a breakout session with activities, which will be provided to you.
- Resources will be provided to you once you sign up to refresh your knowledge on resume building.
- Feel free to bring your knowledge to the table as well.
- You will be provided LUNCH. You will be asked of any dietary restrictions you may have before the day.
What's Required:
- There will be a virtual training session beforehand to prepare for the event. This training session will be a space to ask questions and to go over the run of show and topic materials.
- Liability forms will be required to complete, which will be provided to you before the event.
- The only other requirements is providing your time and life experience.
