6th Annual Leimert Park Jazz Festival
Volunteer at the 6th Annual Leimert Park Jazz Festival and be part of a joyful celebration of music, art, and community in South LA.
Why: The Leimert Park Jazz Festival honors this vibrant community’s legacy of African American culture, jazz, and art, and aims to ensure it remains the heartbeat of black creative arts and culture in Los Angeles. It also aims to revitalize and cultivate jazz culture in Los Angeles. In addition, the Leimert Park Jazz Festival serves as an economic driver in the community by providing short term jobs, paying established and emerging jazz musicians a competitive fee, and supporting local black owned businesses.
Who: Leimet Park Jazz Festival's mission is to preserve and celebrate the cultural legacy of jazz in Leimert Park and South Los Angeles, support emerging and established jazz artists, and enrich communities through free and low-cost, high-quality programming that educates, inspires, and unites.
What to Expect:

Day Before (Friday): Hanging Banners, Placing Signage, Setting Up Tents and Chairs, Organizing Merchandise, etc.

Event Day (Saturday): Set-up, Check-In, Guest Assistance, Kid’s Zone, Hospitality, Merchandise, Sanitation, Breakdown and Clean Up

Day After (Sunday): Final Breakdown
- Complimentary meal, snacks, and beverages
- Entry into an exclusive prize drawing

Must be 18 years or older (or volunteer with your parent or legal guardian)

Must confirm volunteer participation with the festival’s Volunteer Team and attend an orientation
