Heart of Los Angeles: Scholarship Mentor Program

Support students with their college application while providing essential youth mentorship!

Why: Mentorship improves potential of students and youth in getting into college and prusuing their dream career. The college application mentor program ultimately serves as an opportunity to support the next generation of college students and ensure that they get the support needed to get there.

Who: Our nonprofit partner, Heart of Los Angeles helps young people overcome barriers through exceptional, free, integrated programs and personalized guidance in a trusted, nurturing environment.

What to Expect: The college app mentor program serves as an opportunity for volunteers to support students, 1-2 , throughout the college application process. Mentors will be supporting students in reviewing and editing college essays, support with filling out the applications, but also providing mentorship to students based on mentors' lived experiences in which students can gain that insight and apply it to their decisions.
