Volunteers Wanted: Harvest Festival and Costume Party!
Calling all party people! Make a difference in the lives of community members while having fun at our SPOOKtacular event!

Including our programs that offer job training and placement, education, counseling, residential services, social programs and person-centered planning with a focus on community integration, helping each individual gain the confidence, skills, dignity and independence at his/her/their highest level. Who: New Horizons is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs (age 16 and older) to reach their full potential and fulfill their dreams. Founded in 1954 by eight parents whose children had special needs, the agency has evolved to provide services and support each year to more than 1,300 individuals throughout the greater San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys of Los Angeles.
What to Expect:- Light set-up
- Greeting guests at the entrance
- Assisting with guest check-in
- Distributing giveaways/door prizes
- Managing games
- Serving dinner, beverages and snacks
- Support guests at the self-serve photobooth
- Light breakdown and clean up at the end of the event
- Other duties as assigned
- We gladly provide Community Service hours confirmation (with advance notice)
- Please register by October 17th
- Volunteer hours are 4:00 PM - 8:30 PM (some flexibility may be provided with advanced notice)
- Festive attire is encouraged, but not required
- Volunteers are asked to wear comfortable closed-toe shoes
- Basic training and orientation will be provided on-site
- Volunteers can be 12-17 if accompanied by an adult
