Help the Boys & Girls Club's Food Bank Distribution
Help pack and distribute food to families, seniors and individuals experiencing food insecurity.
Why: The demand for food security has stayed consistent as many seniors and others continue to need assistance with food. You will personally see the people coming for help each week when preparing the bags of food and giving them out to people in need.
Who: Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club's mission is to enable and inspire youth, especially young people who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible members of the community.
What to Expect:- Pack food into bags
- Count food items and make sure they are distributed equally to each bag
- Move bags to distribution area
- Hand out bags of food following the check in and distribution system
- Assist with signing in recipients as needed or remain inside the gym packing the food (assistance with both is needed)
- Assist with set up and tear down as needed
- Attend Thursdays from 3:00PM - 6:00PM
- Ability to lift 10 lbs.
- Physically mobile
- Ability to pack and move bags of food, move fold up tables, check off recipients on list, etc.
