Holiday Toy Give-Away
The holiday season is here, and we're excited to bring some Christmas cheer to our youth and families at the Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club. We are hosting our Annual Christmas Celebration and we'd love for you to join us as a vounteer.
Why: By volunteering, you're helping create a joyful and meaningful holiday experience for children and families in our Lincoln Heights community. For many of our youth, this celebration may be their main holiday gathering, a place where they feel welcomed, supported, and surrounded by warmth.
Who: Los Angeles Boys & Girls Club's mission is to enable and inspire youth, especially young people who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible members of the community.
What to Expect:Your time and kindness help provide:
- A festive meal shared in community
- A safe and joyful space filled with music and celebration
- Gifts for children who may not otherwise recieve any during the holidays
- A reminder that our community comes together to care for one another
- Decorating and setting up winter wonderland spaces
- Gift distribution and helping with our toy giveaway
- Clean-up crew
- Festive attitudes welcome!
- Sign in upon arrival
- Wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing (festive sweaters encouraged!)
- Be prepared to assist with set-up, activities, serving, or clean up
- Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude with youth and families
- Respect our youth safety policies and staff instruction
