Fire Recovery - Hope, Healing, and Opportunity in Palisades
Why: This Recovery Pop-Up will be one powerful day of hope, healing, and opportunity. By volunteering, you are directly supporting fire survivors on their path to recovery.
Who: Global Empowerment's mission is to surround survivors with the support they need to rebuild and recover.
What to Expect: The event, which takes place from 12:00-3:00 will include a Banquet Hall of Support, Health & Wellness Workshops, Kids Zone, Music & Outdoor Distribution. Volunteers may be expected to do any of the following depending on their shift time:
- Assist with set up for the Recovery Pop-up
- Greet attendees and direct them to appropriate resources
- Assist with bringing items from the distribuion area to cars
- Assist with breakdown and clean up after the Pop-up event
- Other duties as assigned day of
This event is divided into volunteer shifts (select one from the dropdown):
- DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR FRIDAY, THE SET-UP is now SATURDAY, Nov 22nd, 6:30am - 10:00am
- Final set up for the event and assisting during the event from 10am-1:30 pm on November 22nd
- Assisting during the event and assist in breakdown and cleanup from 1pm-4pm on November 22nd
What's Required:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25–50 lbs
- Dress Code: Closed-toe shoes, pants, and a neutral t-shirt
- Hat/Sunscreen as some positions will be outdoors
- PLEASE NOTE: volunteers under 18 (16 and up), must have a parent or guardian present to sign the liability release form.
