Celebrate & learn at the 'Healthy Soil for Healthy Cities: Nourishing Life in L.A." webinar for celebrate World Soil Day! World Soil Day Webinar: "Healthy Soil for Healthy Cities: Nourishing Life in L.A." is hosted in partnership with California Climate Action Corps, a program of California Volunteers, Office of the Governor.
Why: We’re thrilled to invite you to a week of events celebrating World Soil Day — honouring the living ground that connects all our hands-on work in urban greening, wildfire resilience, and food waste reduction
Who: Through partnerships with local nonprofits, schools and community groups, our the L.A. Works Climate Action team develops service events that engage commmunity members across Los Angeles.
What to Expect:- “Healthy Soil for Healthy Cities: Nourishing Life in L.A.” Join Dr. Lara Ramdin (LA Works) as she moderates a lively conversation with Sarah Franz (Healing Soils Foundation), Dr. Daisy Rosas Vargas (Soil Wise), and Alan Melgoza-Calderon (Eco Urban Garden).
- Together, they’ll explore how healthy soil connects climate resilience, food security, and equitable access to green space across Los Angeles — and how you can help protect it.
- This event is a webinar, so enjoy from anywhere!
