Give Out Christmas Trees to Eaton Fire Survivors
Hand out a hot cup of holiday cheer and Christmas trees to survivors with the Eaton Fire Collaborative's partners, Neighborhood Survants, Altadena Chamber of Commerce, TR Construction, Juciy Little Society, and Project Passion.

Why: Eaton Fire survivors are entering this season carrying far more than the usual holiday stress. With beloved traditions disrupted, housing transitions still underway, and the anniversary of the fires approaching, these weeks can stir up grief, uncertainty, and emotional fatigue. Help deck the halls of their current living spaces with a timeless holiday symbol: Christmas trees.
Who: The Survivor Store at the Eaton Fire Collaborative was created to support individuals and families recovering from the 2025 Eaton Fires by providing essential goods and supplies at no cost. These volunteer efforts are led by Neighborhood Survants, which is a nonprofit that encourages youth and community leaders to drive positive change and make a difference.
What to Expect: Volunteers help ensure a smooth and supportive experience for survivors. Duties include:
- Greeting survivors.
- Wrapping and loading trees into survivors' cars.
- Handing out hot cocoa and cookies to survivors.
What's Required:
- It is requested that volunteers wear festive, holiday-themed clothing. A clean shirt, comfortable pants, and closed-toe shoes are required at all times. Avoid ripped or loose clothing, offensive graphics, or open-toe footwear. Dress for the weather and layer as needed.
- Long hair should be tied back and no dangling jewelry for safety.
- Volunteers 7+ are welcome (youth under 18 should be accompanied by an adult).
- Bring a collaborative spirit and readiness to pitch in wherever needed.
- If assisting with the trees, able to lift at least 25 lbs.
This opportunity is managed by a coalition of L.A. Works partners, the Eaton Fire Collaborative and Neighborhood Survants.
