Support an Edible School Garden
Support a future food and education hub by joining our March volunteer day! Volunteers will welcome the Spring Equinox with hands-on gardening and garden restoration projects like tree planting, pathway building, mulching, and more at the Arroyo Farm Lab. All are welcome and no green thumb required to join!
Why: All volunteer efforts support the establishment of the Arroyo Farm Lab and ensure meaningful impact for students and the broader community. The Arroyo Farm Lab will become an essential food hub and education garden, addressing food insecurity, improving wellness, and empowering communities through food and education.
Who: Arroyo Farm Lab has the mission of combating food insecurity through urban agriculture and regenerative living.
What to Expect:- Volunteers will help us with hands-on restoration projects at the Arroyo Farm Lab for 2.5 hrs.

All Volunteers will receive safety training and garden tools (ex. gloves, hand-tools, etc.) to complete projects.
Tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Fruit Tree Planting & Tree Care
- Path Restoration
- Mulching
- Invasive species removal & Clean-up
What's Required: For a safe and comfortable volunteer experience, we ask volunteers to bring the following:
- Breathable Clothing for Outdoor/Garden Work
- Closed-toed Shoes
- Water Bottle & Light snack
- Hat/Sun protection
