6th Annual Nurses Rock 5K/10K - Run/Walk
Join us for the 6th Annual Nurses Rock 5K/10K, a meaningful community event supporting nursing scholarships through the Bonnie Fang Foundation.This uplifting event brings together runners, nurses, healthcare professionals, and families to honor the nursing profession and support the next generation of nurses.
Why: By volunteering, you help create an uplifting community event that directly supports scholarships for future nurses—empowering the next generation of caregivers who will one day care for all of us. 💜
Who: Bonnie Fang Foundation support future nurses by providing scholarships and community outreach. We aim to develop compassionate healthcare professionals who contribute their skills and leadership towards strengthening community health, ultimately improving the well-being of individuals and society.
What to Expect: Volunteers will support various aspects of the event to help create a safe, organized, and uplifting experience for all participants. Roles include:- Event Day Registration & Check-In – Assist with participant check-in and distribution of race materials (bib, timing chip, t-shirt)
- Vendor Fair Set Up & Breakdown – Support event setup, vendor load-in/load-out, and general event operations
- Post-Race Food Support – Help set up and distribute water, fruit, and snacks to participants
- Course Monitors (16 ) – Guide runners along the course and provide direction and encouragement
- Fluid Stations – Hand out water to participants along the course
- Finish Line Medals – Celebrate participants by handing out medals at the finish line
- Raffle Support – Assist with raffle setup, ticket distribution, and prize coordination
- Goodie Bag Distribution – Help prepare and distribute participant goodie bag
- Bonnie Fang Foundation Tent Assist (18 ) – Share information about the foundation and assist with merchandise and donations
- Parking Monitors – Help direct traffic, guide participants to parking areas, and support event safety.
- Volunteers will be provided with a lanyard to wear during the event, and some roles may also include a safety vest as needed. As a thank you for their support, volunteers will receive a Nurses Rock t-shirt at the conclusion of their shift.

Water and light snacks will be provided for volunteers throughout the event.
- Shift time: 6:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- We kindly ask that volunteers stay for the duration of the event, if possible, to assist with breakdown and clean-up.
- Dress comfortably and appropriately for outdoor conditions (comfortable shoes, sunscreen, hat/visor recommended)
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (3 hours)
- Some roles may require light lifting
- Vendor set up and breakdown roles may be more physically demanding
