Clean Ride Crew - Forest Lawn Dr.
☀️🧹 Bike Lane Beautifiers, Unite! 🚲😎We’re gearing up for another awesome Clean Ride Crew event this March, and we need your help to make it a success. Join SAFE as we collaborate to maintain safe and clean bike paths for everyone.
Why: Since Clean Ride Crew started, we have cleaned up tens of thousands of pounds of trash and tens of miles of bike paths. We have also successfully addressed scores of hazards, getting them repaired or removed.
Who: Streets Are For Everyone is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in January 2014 that aims to improve the quality of life for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers alike. SAFE addresses the problem in a holistic fashion through direct education, broad awareness campaigns, partnerships, community outreach, policy and legislation, support for those impacted, and other proven strategies.
What to Expect:- This month we're heading to Griffith Park to clean up the bike lanes of Forest Lawn Drive in preparation for our Finish The Ride event.
- Date/Time: Saturday, April 25th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Meeting Location: 6250 Forest Lawn Dr, Los Angeles CA 90068
- Tools and snacks will be provided!
- AFTERWARD: Join us for our monthly volunteer meetup for food, drinks, and good company.
- What You'll Be Doing:
- Scooping up debris and garbage
- Sweeping bike lanes
- Reporting more serious issues like cracks and potholes to city officials
- Volunteers must be at least 14 years old
- We encourage you to bring brooms, clippers, or any other gear you think may be helpful.
- Pro tip: Work or gardening gloves are a good idea!
