RESTORE TUJUNGA GARDEN OF RESILIENCE & INCLUSION
The Tujunga Garden of Resilience project continues the reMATRIation of the land with a new focus on restoring 200 feet of median in Tujunga over 2 community workdays (May 2nd and May 16th)
Why: Sunland–Tujunga is rebuilding what wildfire, heat, and neglect have stressed: healthy, native habitat that protects people and nature. LA Works and Sunland-Tujunga Forward are teaming up across three volunteer days to bring care back to a key community corridor—reviving a planted median so it can actually thrive again (and keep doing its job for the neighborhood).
Who: Sunland-Tujunga Forward (ST Forward) is a community-based organization rooted in local action—mobilizing neighbors to care for the land, strengthen climate resilience, and build a healthier, more connected Sunland-Tujunga. Their work brings people together to restore habitat, reduce wildfire risk, and protect the wellbeing of the community through practical, consistent stewardship.
