Back to School Event Shift A (8am-11:30am) - DCR
A free Back to School Backpack Giveaway Event for the community! Come out and help us distribute lunch, food boxes, and backpacks at this event.
This is an eligible Daisy Chain Reaction volunteer opportunity. Volunteers who are 18 years of age or older and who opt in during registration for the promotion running between July 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM PST and August 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST may participate in a giveaway for a chance to win two (2) GA tickets to Daisy Chain Fields 2026. Participation in the giveaway is completely optional, and you are welcome to volunteer whether or not you choose to enter. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements and terms.
Why: Help lower-income families in local communities get the supplies they need for their children to start the new school year!
Who: Heart of Compassion's mission is to be a lighthouse of volunteers fighting poverty and restoring hope.
- Distribute lunch, food boxes, and backpacks to families
- Volunteers are required to be flexible and willing to listen to instructions
- Volunteers may need to stand for long periods of time
- Volunteers may need to push grocery carts and/or carry boxes or bags
- Volunteers must be at least 13 years old
