Volunteer Social Media & Marketing Coordinator
TechArts is seeking Volunteer Social Media & Marketing Coordinators to join a small, collaborative team supporting outreach, program promotion, and community engagement.
Why: TechArts works centers equity, creativity, and cultural relevance, helping students build both technical skills and confidence through accessible, community-rooted learning experiences. Lending your time as Volunteer Social Media & Marketing Coordinator will assit us in spreading our mission and access to our resources.
Who: TechArts Empowerment Foundation is a mobile STEAM nonprofit serving youth in South Los Angeles and surrounding communities. We deliver hands-on programs in coding, robotics, video game development, and creative technology—meeting young people where they are through parks, libraries, schools, and community spaces.
What to Expect:- Create and schedule social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as needed)
- Promote workshops, community events, and digital initiatives
- Develop captions, hashtags, and content ideas aligned with TechArts’ voice
- Repurpose photos, short videos, and program updates into social-friendly formats
- Help maintain a consistent brand presence across platforms
- Volunteers work as part of a 2–3 person marketing team, with responsibilities rotating across:
- Content planning
- Posting and scheduling
- Engagement and light performance review
- Clear guidelines, brand assets, and collaboration tools are provided.
- Hands-on nonprofit marketing experience
- Portfolio-ready content and campaign work
- Professional references and documented volunteer hours
- Opportunity to grow into paid or expanded roles as funding allows

- Commitment Details: 5–8 hours per month (flexible) - 3 person social media & marketing team
- Remote-friendly (Occasional travel to El Segundo office, various parks, libraries, and community centers in the south bay region and Los Angeles county area)
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content strategy
- Strong writing skills for short-form messaging
- Comfort working collaboratively and meeting light deadlines
- Experience with Canva, scheduling tools, or analytics is a plus but not required.
