Between Downtown LA and Koreatown - Fresh Foods Weekly Food Pantry!
Seeking volunteers for the Food for Health Market at The Sinclair Hotel every Tuesday morning! Open to CalFresh Recipients!
Why: Food for Health relies on the generosity of volunteers to provide healthy, high-quality food to our community. Volunteering is a rewarding way to make a meaningful impact while supporting neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
Who: Food for Health aims to prevent and alleviate hunger through advocacy, radical cooperation, and innovative strategies.
What to Expect:- We're seeking volunteers for the Food for Health Market at The Sinclair Hotel every Tuesday morning.
- Volunteers help set up the market, restock fresh fruits and vegetables, assist guests as they shop, and help with clean up.
- We are open to CalFresh recipients who are seeking to earn volunteer hours towards monthly requirements. We provide breakfast or lunch and volunteers leave with a bag of fresh fruits, veggies, and other food items.
- Dress comfortably and wear closed-toed shoes.
- We provide the training, a t-shirt or apron, breakfast or lunch, snacks, and free groceries!
- Please familiarize yourself with our mission, values, and guidelines before arriving at the pantry for your first day of service by reviewing our Volunteer Manual (will be in your confirmation email after signing up).
- There is street parking (please check the street cleaning signs so you don't get a citation!) or some limited parking in the shared lot across the street, but the lot can fill up fast.
