StrongHome Rest & Relief Father’s Day Brunch Volunteer Opportunity

As we continue walking alongside families in their healing journey, we are hosting our Rest & Relief Father’s Day Brunch, a special experience created to honor and care for fathers who have been deeply impacted by the fires.

Why: Many of the fathers we serve have carried the responsibility of holding their families together through loss, displacement, and rebuilding for over a year. As housing assistance comes to an end for many families, the pressure has only intensified. These men continue to show up, provide, and lead while navigating uncertainty and stress. This brunch is designed to give them something they rarely receive: A moment to pause. A moment to be poured into. A moment to feel seen, respected, and appreciated.

Who: StrongHome Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families through family, faith, fitness, finances, and personal development. Over the past year, in response to the California wildfires, StrongHome has mobilized hundreds of volunteers and served thousands of families through essential distribution, community programming, and long-term recovery support.

• Event setup and breakdown
• Registration and check-in
• Greeting and escorting fathers to tables or services
• Serving food and beverages
• Supporting event activities and facilitation
• Organizing supplies and materials
• Cleaning, clearing tables, and maintaining the space
• **If you are skilled in any of the following (Massage Therapy, Facials, Manicures, etc.), please contact the Opportunity Coordinator. (Not Required)

• Have a heart to serve and uplift others
• Are kind, attentive, and respectful
• Can follow direction and work as part of a team
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude
• Are mindful that many guests are navigating sensitive and emotional circumstances

• Lifting bins or materials up to 45 pounds
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Assisting with setup and breakdown of event materials

• All black attire
• Comfortable shoes suitable for standing and walking
