"Neighbors Helping Neighbors" Yard Clean-Up Initiative - DCR
In the wake of the Eaton Fire, many Altadena residents are still navigating the long road to recovery—facing mounting challenges like county citations and delayed rebuilding timelines due to ongoing appeals and financial strain.
This is an eligible Daisy Chain Reaction volunteer opportunity. Volunteers who are 18 years of age or older and who opt in during registration for the promotion running between July 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM PST and August 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST may participate in a giveaway for a chance to win two (2) GA tickets to Daisy Chain Fields 2026. Participation in the giveaway is completely optional, and you are welcome to volunteer whether or not you choose to enter. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements and terms.
Why: This work addresses an immediate public safety issue while preventing additional financial strain on fire-impacted households, making recovery more possible and equitable for those still navigating loss. Every yard cleared is a step toward restoring stability in Altadena—supporting neighbors through compliance, safety, and a tangible path forward after devastating loss.
Who: At Project Passion, our mission is to foster collaboration and empower communities by creating spaces where individuals can unite, share resources, and work collectively toward meaningful change.
