Back to School Community Outreach - DCR
Operation Be Kind's Back to School Community outreach serves 300 students from low income families by providing backpacks, school supplies, new shoes, Bombas socks and eye exams.
This is an eligible Daisy Chain Reaction volunteer opportunity. Volunteers who are 18 years of age or older and who opt in during registration for the promotion running between July 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM PST and August 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST may participate in a giveaway for a chance to win two (2) GA tickets to Daisy Chain Fields 2026. Participation in the giveaway is completely optional, and you are welcome to volunteer whether or not you choose to enter. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements and terms.
Why: Our volunteers are the heart of Operation Be Kind's Back to School Community Outreach. Your time, compassion and personal interaction help create a meaningful experience for each student, ensuring students feel valued, supported and confident as they prepare for the new school year.
Who: Operation Be Kind empowers individuals to serve, give back, and make a difference through meaningful acts of kindness and compassion.
What to Expect:- Welcome families and assist student check in and registration
- Guide students through personalized shopping experience
- Help distribute back to school supplies
- Volunteers must be 16 and older or accompanied by adult if younger.
- Wear comfortable clothing and bring a hat and water bottle. Event is held outdoors
