Help Move the GSOC Kindness Rocks Garden!-DCR
Help create a welcoming space that celebrates kindness, leadership, and community.
This is an eligible Daisy Chain Reaction volunteer opportunity. Volunteers who are 18 years of age or older and who opt in during registration for the promotion running between July 22, 2026 at 7:00 AM PST and August 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST may participate in a giveaway for a chance to win two (2) GA tickets to Daisy Chain Fields 2026. Participation in the giveaway is completely optional, and you are welcome to volunteer whether or not you choose to enter. See the Official Rules for complete eligibility requirements and terms.
Why: The GSOC Kindness Rocks Garden is a colorful reminder that small acts of kindness can inspire big change. By helping relocate and refresh the garden, you'll create an inviting space that encourages girls, volunteers, and visitors to reflect on the Girl Scout values of courage, confidence, character, and making the world a better place.
Who: Girl Scouts of Orange County builds girls of courage, confidence, and character through programs in leadership, STEM, entrepreneurship, the outdoors, and life skills. Volunteers play an important role in creating inspiring spaces where girls can learn, grow, and lead.
What to Expect:- Help clean rock garden beds, we are repurposing two raised garden bed planters to serve as the new rock garden
- Assist with light lifting and outdoor setup
- Work alongside GSOC staff to create a beautiful community feature
- Gloves! Also recommended: shovels or trowels, buckets to move rocks, scrub brushes to clean rocks
- Clothes that you can get dirty
- A can-do attitude!
- Reliability and punctuality
- Ability to lift and carry rocks and garden materials
- Comfortable working outdoors for approximately two hours
